Game Center Has Arrived: A Powerful New Way to Engage Students in LevelUp Reader

At LevelUp Reader, we know that when students are excited, learning becomes more effective. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce Game Center, a brand-new feature that adds even more fun, motivation, and educator control to the LevelUp reading experience.

What Is Game Center?
Game Center is an exciting new hub within LevelUp Reader that enhances how students play and engage. While students will still enjoy the rich, interactive 3D environments of LevelUp Land, Game Center opens the door to an entirely new collection of high-interest games—more than two dozen, to be exact!
These games span a wide variety of genres and styles, from fast-paced arcade and racing games to puzzle-solving and side-scrolling adventures. With so many types of games and artistic approaches, there’s something to capture the interest of every learner.

Designed for Learning and Engagement
Game Center isn’t just about fun—it’s a strategic tool for boosting reading motivation. By integrating game-based rewards directly into the LevelUp Reader experience, educators can:
• Incentivize reading and academic progress through earned game time
• Reward individual effort or class-wide achievements
• Create a positive feedback loop that encourages students to stay on track

Games are optimized for both web browsers and the LevelUp Reader app on smartphones and tablets, allowing for seamless access across devices.

Educator-Controlled, Student-Approved
What sets Game Center apart is the control it puts in educators’ hands. From the “Gaming” page under My Classroom, teachers can select the “Game Center” tab and then award game play time in 5-minute intervals, choosing whether to reward individual students, small groups, or the whole class. When students have play time available, a red indicator appears on the Game Center icon, letting them know a reward is ready and waiting.

Even better, teachers can explore Game Center themselves. This gives educators insight into the student experience—and a chance to enjoy the games too!
