LevelUp Reader features an array of teacher materials to support instruction and help educators make the most of our authentic texts. These resources include lesson plans and instructional guides, activity and practice sheets, graphic organizers, and decodable books.
We’re excited to announce a new resource to aid in foundational and literacy skills practice: wordless books. Wordless books contain no body text, offering opportunities for emergent readers and English language learners to learn about storytelling, sequence, and structure without needing to read text. LevelUp’s wordless book offerings span all Lexile ranges and cover both fiction and non-fiction.
Wordless books are offered as PDF files. They can be downloaded, printed, and projected for students. Wordless books can be found at the bottom of the “Teacher Resources” table on the book detail window.
Wherever wordless books are offered, we also provide a link to a two-page teacher’s guide, “An Introduction to LevelUp Wordless Books.” It provides an overview along with instructional ideas for making the most of these resources.
